New football arena in Kristianstad inaugurated

1 500 fans turned up when Kristanstad Football Arena on Söder was inaugurated on 14th April. They watched as parachutists delivered the football for the match between the women’s team KDFF and Vittsjö, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

It was a big day for football and a big day for all the associations which now see their dream become reality. The new football arena has 1 280 seats and room for 1 700 standing spectators.

Later this year, when the summer season is over, the whole area with the new sportsground for athletics and new outdoor courts for tennis and padel will be complete.

The cost of the project amounts to 166 million crowns.

The new arena has a surface of hybrid grass, that is, natural grass reinforced with artifical grass.
